Kos

Kos is the third largest island, the most fertile and the greenest of the Dodecanese. With a population of 34.280 inhabitants, has capital Kos, which is the main port of the island. Attractions

Museums

Archaeological Museum was founded during the period of Italian occupation in 1935. In the Museum you will find all the discoveries that have come to light in excavations from ancient times until the Ysterwmaika years. The Museum's Exhibition includes sculptures, tombstones and statues. Great interest is the mosaic of Hippocrates that welcomed from a local, Eros with a Panther on his feet and God Nappy to playing flute.

Hippocratic Museum and International Hippocratic Foundation Museum is dedicated to the father of medicine Hippocrates and you can watch a flashback into the life and work of the most famous Greek. You will see rare editions of his works, busts and coins. The Foundation is a modern medical research center aiming at the investigation of Ippokratikwn methods and their application in modern medicine.

Folklore Museum: Kos is an island with rich Folkways and traditions, which maintains. The Museum is housed in a traditional house dated in the first half of the 20th century. It is a traditionally decorated home of the Dodecanese with all household equipment, yard and more. Next there is the mill of the Pope, the only one of its kind, which is still running.

Move

The island has municipal urban transport for the nearby areas and buses to the most distant.
